Puni Rajah
Associate Consultant
Puni works as an associate consultant for Canalys, focusing
primarily on the Asia Pacific channels landscape for mobility,
security, collaboration software and content. She brings to this
role her experience in services business models, software licensing
trends, user adoption based on diffusion models, and operational
realities of marketing and sales. Puni is also co-founder of The
Governance Board, and her responsibilities as Research Director
include designing the research agenda and engaging with clients
interested in raising the governance bar.
She was previously with IDC for 10 years, starting in London and
moving to Singapore in April 2000. Puni was vice president for
corporate programmes at IDC Asia Pacific. In this role she led IDC’s
conferences, go-to-market and emerging technologies practices toward
delivering continuous programmes to support clients. Prior to this
role, she led IDC’s software, services and consulting teams across
the region. In London, Puni was part of the European services
research team, where she started up the support services practice.
Before this Puni was based in Italy for three years, working as
global marketing manager for Oliservice, the services arm of
Olivetti. In this role, she was responsible for defining global
business planning, portfolio development, customer satisfaction
measurement and marketing communications programmes. Puni joined
Oliservice from Gartner Dataquest, where she started up the
professional services practice.
Puni graduated from Brighton Polytechnic with an honours degree
in Economics.
