The Canalys Channels Forum EMEA 2010-2011

2011 brought together 1,000 delegates from the IT channel, making it the most successful event in Canalys’ history. Throughout the two days, delegates and speakers reviewed the economic environment, IT customer trends, vendor strategies and how these were contributing to the most significant shake-up the industry has yet seen. Delegates learned how consumerization and cloud computing are driving the renaissance of the data center and the emergence of enterprise app stores. External experts hosted best practice workshops looking into local market variations and business models. And, most importantly, over 2,500 one-to-one meetings helped form hundreds of new business relationships.

The Canalys Mobility Forum EMEA 2009
- Where netbooks meet smart phones

The inaugural Canalys Mobility Forum EMEA successfully brought together more than 100 delegates from the PC and mobile phone industries, including software and hardware vendors, mobile operators, channel partners, and the media, to hear the latest market analysis from Canalys and pose questions to panels of industry experts. This unique event, focused on the convergence of the PC and phone industries, and specifically the dynamics around netbooks and smart phones, delivered valuable insight and prompted lively debates as the participants shared their different perspectives.

Canalys is uniquely placed to conduct such an event with its two traditional sets of clients drawn from the smart phone and PC industries. This enables us both to convene an appropriate audience and capitalise on relevant analysis and understanding in both areas.

The Canalys Navigation Forum 2006-2008

Following successful events in Geneva in 2006 and Barcelona in 2007, Canalys hosted four prestigious Navigation Forums during 2008.

The two inaugural forums ran in May 2008 in Bangalore and Taipei. Both were resounding successes, exceeding expected audience numbers, and both were greatly supported by sponsors MapmyIndia, Nokia, Wayfinder, Windows Embedded, Mio and Nuance.

Present at the events were many representatives from the press, including Indiatimes, The Hindu, The New Indian Express, Business Standard, Mint (The Wall Street Journal), The Times of India, CNBC TV18, Financial Chronicle, Taipei Times, Digitimes, Chinatimes.com, Economics Daily and EE Times.

Canalys also hosted a further two regional Navigation Forums in 2008: EMEA in September and the Americas in October. These were also memorable events, with both forums encouraged by EMEA Platinum Sponsors Nav N Go and Windows Embedded, and Americas Platinum Sponsor MSN Direct, as well as keynote industry expert speakers.

Covering three continents, these forums were a great opportunities for the industry to gather and benefit from research, analysis and debate on critical market trends and issues.
