Matthew McCormack’s responsibilities include new business development, account management and client relations in the Americas region. Prior to joining Canalys in 2010, Matthew spent three years at IDC EMEA as a consultant in the Systems and Infrastructure Group. In this role, Matthew was responsible for managing the consulting practice dedicated to client computing in Western Europe, which consisted of developing business opportunities, scoping and managing projects and ensuring client satisfaction.

Previously, Matthew worked at Forrester as a Researcher in the IT services team, where he helped to advise clients on strategic outsourcing decisions across a range of topics, including security, application development and business process outsourcing.

Before joining the market intelligence industry, Matthew worked as an Electronics Engineer for the Canadian Department of National Defence. He graduated from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada, with a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Computer Science with a Minor in Musical Performance. He is proficient in French and is currently learning Russian.
