Rachel Brindley manages Canalys’ primary field research and confidential consulting projects. Rachel’s recent work on behalf of major technology vendors has focused on: selling IP telephony through voice channels; measuring reseller satisfaction; corporate channels for handhelds; European mobile phone channels; direct selling of high-tech products online; vendor terms and conditions; and specialist security channels.
Rachel also conducts channel interviews and contributes written analysis to the company’s continuous advisory services. She examines trends in high-tech distribution and enterprise channels across Europe, researching market developments within the enterprise security space and tracking the evolution of convergence in the business telephony market.
Prior to joining Canalys in 2000, Rachel was a researcher for JBA, where she provided competitive intelligence on the enterprise resource planning (ERP) software market. Rachel also spent a year working for Brite Voice Systems in Wiesbaden, Germany, where she was responsible for writing vertical market reports on the telecoms industry and supporting the EMEA marketing team.
Rachel graduated from the University of East Anglia with an Honors Degree in European Studies and German. She is fluent in German and has proficiency in French.
